collection Thank You for your interest in Jake Johnson's cowboy leather goods. These are authentic western trappings made the old-fashioned way for the discriminating customer who wants to wear the very best. These photos represent a small portion of the leatherwork used by the movie industry, Single Action Shooting Society (SASS) members, Cowboy Mounted Shooting Association (CMSA) members, collectors and re-enactors. These designs are accurate right down to the last detail. Many of the tools used to decorate these leather goods are made specifically to duplicate the styles used in the American West.


maker Each item is custom made using Grade "A" Hermann Oak bark tanned leather. Precision hand sewing with linen thread is used to sew each piece. Several of the pictures you will see are of holsters that match the original gear in every way possible, with one exception. They are new, and bear the "Jake Johnson -Maker-" cartouche.

TERMS: Orders will be filled with 50% payment in advance by check or money order only. Use your credit card with Paypal. All orders are filled on a first come, first served basis.

All items are custom made one at time to your specifications. Please feel free to call me directly or write to discuss the details of your order. Please supply the following information when ordering: Name, address, and your phone number. Include the make and model of the gun, barrel length, and caliber. For belts, I will need the caliber and your waist size. To this size four inches is added so it rides just above the hips. If you already have a cartridge belt that fits measure from the center of the buckle to the hole you now use. Belts are made to fit on the center hole, so an accurate measurement is important. Pick out your favorite belt and holster style, and specify right or left hand pattern.

Special order options include nickel or brass spots, fancy conchos, black dyed finish, and deerskin lining. Some holsters are available with a variety of floral and geometric border designs. Please call or write for specific price information on special orders.

If you have a favorite item that you want reproduced that is not illustrated here, please supply pictures or information. You might find an original item that appeals to you, or consult with Jake regarding his photo library of original leather goods. Two books I suggest are "Packing Iron," and "Cowboys & the Trappings of the Old West." Inquire about any custom fit rifle scabbard, saddle bags, cowboy wrist cuffs, hat bands, knife sheaths, western horse bridles and spur straps.
